Chitwan Natonal Park

Nepal is a home to many magnificent national parks, which provides a national habitat ta a great variety of wildlife. One of the best known among them is Royal Chitwan National park established in 1973. This park was recognized bu UNESCO in 1984 as a world Heritage Site in view of the south west of Kathmandu. It is very popular tourist destination in natural life. The park covers an area of approximate 932 square kilometers ideally located in Narayani River Valley. Chitwan which means the "Heart of the Jungle" is among the last sueviving example of the continuous bans of forests and grasslands which once extended from the Indus River in Pakistan to the Burmese border. The park that includes in its area a part of the shivalik hills, is covered with deciduous forests overlooking the floodplains of Narayani, Rapti and Reu rivers and offering a wilderness of rich ecosystem that includes mammels, birds, reptiles and water animals of several kinds. There are around 600 plant species, 50 mammals, 526 birds and 49 amphibians reptiles found in the park. The highlights, of course, are the 500 Asians one-horned rhinoceros and some 100 nocturnal Royal Bengal tigers that live in dense forests of the park. Sharing home with these are other animals like rhesus monkey, grey languor, deer, leopards white stockinged gaur, wild dogs and wild cats.

Day 01 On Your arrival at Chitrasari, Tadi or Bharatpur Airport our staff will receive you. You will then be transferred to our Lodge where you will be offered refreshment & be given a briefing on our lodge & its facilities. After being given your programmes for the day, your room will then be allocated to you. 13.00 : Lunch 15.00 : Elephant Safari. An excellent opportunity to see four different kinds of deer, rhinoceros, bore, monkey, leopard, sloth bear and the Royal Bengal Tiger (If you are lucky). You will also encounter many other smaller mammals that have made Chitwan their home. 19.00 : Tharu cultural dance presentation (which you will also participate in) by the local villagers or Slide show presentation on almost everything under the Chitwan. 20.00 : Dinner.
Day 02 06.00 : Wake up call. 06.30 : Breakfast. 07.00 : Canoe ride along the Rapti River. An excellent opportunity for Bird Watching and for seeing the 2 rare species of crocodiles; the Marsh Mugger and the fish eating Gharial. + Jungle Walk + on the way back one can enjoy the elephant bathing. 13.00 : Lunch 15.00 : Elephant Safari.
